Textile jewelry is a project born from a fruitful collaboration with designer Sabrina Sguanci and goldsmith Maria Teresa Sottile.
I happily embraced Sabrina Sguanci’s proposal to create a series of jewelry pieces using honeycomb weaving.
This gave me the opportunity to delve into research on this weaving technique and to weave it, allowing it to express itself in its three-dimensionality and plastic structure. In this collection, the honeycomb is showcased in a cell, allowing for a detailed appreciation of the architectural structure of this marvelous textile weave.
Finally, the jewelry is completed with hand-etched brass finishes crafted by goldsmith Maria Teresa Sottile.
